Registration information
Please use the on-line registration form, when registering for the Conference, Social Programme and for hotel reservations during the Conference. For payment details, please see Payment.
Registrations for events included in the registration fee must also be marked on the form, in order to obtain a ticket. Please note that registration to the various events will be confirmed upon payment. Please carefully follow the instruction below for payment of all fees involved.
Registration Fees
Registration fees include VAT (25 %).
PhD students can participate at a higlhy subsidised fee. In order to be eligible for the subsidised fee, you will have to meet our requirements.
A social programme for accompanying persons will be available.

Swedish tax legislation requires participants to pay their registration fee including Swedish VAT.
100 SEK is approximately equivalent to 10 Euro (April 2, 2010)

Please note: In order to be able to register for the lower fee, PhD students must submit proof of their status as graduate students.

Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation of Registration
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to Congrex. Cancellation of registration will be accepted until April 29, 2010, up to which date the total amount will be refunded less SEK 500 for cancellation fee. For cancellations made after April 29, 2010, we regret that no refunds can be made.
Cancellation of Hotel Reservation
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to Congrex. Cancellation of any hotel reservation will be accepted until April 29, 2010, up to which date the hotel deposit will be refunded less a cancellation fee of SEK 500. We regret that the hotel deposit cannot be refunded after April 29, 2010.
Cancellation of Social Events
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to Congrex.
Alterations
Alterations to your registration must be made in writing and sent to Congrex by e-mail: medical-ethics2010@congrex.com
Change of Name
Should you be unable to attend, you will be given the opportunity to send a colleague in your place. An administration fee of SEK 100 will then be charged.
Payment
Please indicate your name and the payment reference number 0041 on all money transfers. The Conference secretariat will not be responsible for identifying funds transferred directly into the account when the name of the participant or invoice number is not mentioned, nor will the secretariat accept charges of bank fees associated with the transfer.
Full payment should be made in advance by one of the following methods:
- American Express, Visa or Eurocard/Mastercard may be used for all charges. Please indicate card number, expiry date and CVV code on the registration form.
- Transfer to SHB (Svenska Handelsbanken, Box 7190, SE-103 88 Stockholm, Sweden, BIC/SWIFT-code: HANDSESS) Account no. 589 715 542 IBAN no. SE48 6000 0000 0005 8971 5542 in SEK to Congrex Sweden AB.
As from 3 weeks before the Conference we only accept credit card as payment.
The Congress is being organised by Congrex Sweden AB. To meet with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and to further enhance the security of your credit card transaction when making your online booking you will be directed to a secure payment gateway hosted solution via DIBS.
For your security; we do not accept your credit card details on hardcopy forms, by email, fax or phone.
All account balances will receive a request for payment, via email from medical-ethics2010@congrex.com which will detail your account overview and include the secure link to our payment suppliers (DIBS).
Admission to the Conference is granted only if Congrex has received the registration fee. Delegates, who have made late payments, should bring a proof of payment to the Conference.

Organisers
The conference is arranged by Cesagen at the universities of Lancaster and Cardiff and the Centre for Research Ethics & Bioethics at Uppsala University.
The Centre for Research Ethics and Bioethics is an interfaculty centre at Uppsala University.
Cesagen is a collaborative research centre which is funded as part of the ESRC Genomics Network. The Centre is based at the universities of Lancaster and Cardiff.
