PhD Student

Jens Lundegård joined CRB and started his PhD in April 2023. His PhD project explores how implementing knowledge-driven management within Swedish healthcare impacts the practice of family medicine. Knowledge-driven management is a current national project carried out by Sweden’s regions in collaboration with the aim of reaching a more equal health care across the country. It includes both national clinical knowledge support and patient-centered standardized care processes. By using qualitative and quantitative methodology as well as ethical analysis he explores what consequences the increasing external control of family medicine physicians has on their practice, how it affects patients’ perceptions of their healthcare and what ethical problems it may evoke.

Jens Lundegård is a medical doctor and a specialist in family medicine. He currently works as a physician at a healthcare centre in the town of Nyköping. He also has experience from working with national clinical knowledge support as a former member of the national working group for dermatology and venerology.
