Jens Lundegård

Doctoral student investigating how increasing management control impacts the practice of family medicine. Specialist in family medicine and working as a general practitioner.

Jens Lundegård joined the Centre for Research Ethics and Bioethics and started his PhD studies in April 2023. His PhD project explores how increasing management control impacts the practice of family medicine. By using qualitative and mixed-method methodology as well as ethical analysis, he explores the consequences of increasing management control on the general practitioner’s work, how it affects patients’ perceptions of their healthcare, and what ethical issues are raised.

Jens Lundegård is a medical doctor, specialised in family medicine. He currently works as a GP at a healthcare centre in the town of Nyköping. He has experience from working with national clinical knowledge support as part of Sweden’s national system for knowledge-driven management, supervising resident physicians, and teaching consultation skills for medical students.
